ESCAPE TO ROTE

THE ARCHIPELAGO'S
HIDDEN GEM

Rote is accessed via Kupang, a once highly fought-after trading port in the 1600s and the final destination of Lt William Blyth's celebrated voyage in the film Mutiny on the Bounty.

The island's activities are now defined by agriculture, fishing and jewelry-making. The Rotinese are warm and generous people, making this one of the most delightful yet rarely visited destinations of the archipelago.
